Institut Kutschera
Content Auditing & Information Architecture
September 2017 – January 2018
Last year I joined the team of Hämmerle/Luger to support them in relaunching the website of Institut Kutschera who offer education, training, seminars and coaching. My role was to analyse, evaluate and structure website content and to develop a concept including a sitemap and a content map for goal-oriented content production.

Evaluating existing content
The extensive content that has grown over time initially was analysed and evaluated. This overview helped to transfer the efforts made in online marketing and for SEO to the new site.

Setting goals from two perspectives
Starting point of new website concept was the definition of goals from the perspective of the company and from the perspective of the users respectively. This made is even easier to regularly check if the following steps help to meet those goals.

Repackaging information
The findings drawn from the content audit and the definition of goals find their places in the sitemap, breaking down the most relevant information into comprehensible packages.

Guiding content production
The sitemap and the content audit both influence the production of new content and the improvement of existing content, collected and reviewed in the content map.
